Guide jaw growth early and support confident development

#Guided facial growth #Mouth-breathing and habit correction #Measurable malocclusion prevention

What makes REAL different?

Advanced facial growth management with gentle digital orthodontic care.

Early intervention during the growth window

REAL does not wait passively until all permanent teeth have erupted. Early intervention is not only about aligning teeth. During the key growth period from age 5 to 12, we guide jaw development, support healthy facial growth, and help prevent protrusive mouth, underbite, and a recessed chin at the source.

01

Dedicated doctor-led care throughout

Early intervention requires precise growth prediction and a child-friendly approach. REAL has an experienced adolescent orthodontic team skilled in myofunctional training, growth-guidance techniques, and child communication, with responsible follow-up through the full process.

02

120+ safety and quality controls

We use mainstream pediatric myofunctional and early clear-aligner systems. More than 120 quality controls cover medical-grade materials, gentle force control for young periodontal tissue, swallowing-muscle training, and sterile clinical protocols to protect developing tooth roots.

03

REAL Early Adolescent Orthodontic Center believes prevention is better than treatment. During the golden growth period, digital assessment helps intervene in malocclusion early while supporting bite health and full-face skeletal harmony.

FAQ

Q&A

Why does REAL recommend early intervention at ages 5 to 12 instead of waiting until all permanent teeth erupt around age 12?

The traditional wait-and-see approach can miss the best window for skeletal guidance. Ages 5 to 12 are a peak period for jaw development, when bone is highly adaptable. Underbite, protrusive mouth, or a recessed chin often relate to mouth breathing, swallowing habits, or low muscle tone. Early intervention can guide growth before the bones become less adaptable.

What methods are used for early orthodontic intervention? Will it be painful or affect eating and school?

REAL mainly uses advanced myofunctional trainers, such as MRC or LM systems, and child-specific early clear aligners. They are gentle and safe. Myofunctional appliances are usually worn during sleep plus 1 to 2 hours of daytime training, so they do not interfere with school, meals, or daily communication.

Can early intervention improve habits such as finger biting or mouth breathing?

Yes. Mouth breathing, lip biting, tongue thrusting, and similar habits can contribute to protrusive teeth, open bite, and unfavorable facial growth. REAL early intervention includes oral myofunctional correction to encourage nasal breathing, proper tongue posture, and balanced facial muscle pressure.

How do I know whether my child needs early intervention, and how does REAL evaluate it?

REAL uses pediatric intraoral digital scanning and AI-assisted bone-age prediction. In just a few minutes, we can collect oral data comfortably and simulate jaw growth. If your child has crowding, a recessed chin, bite discomfort, or facial asymmetry, we recommend a digital orthodontic screening around age 6.

Real Case: Adolescent Myofunctional Growth Guidance

We recommend the first digital orthodontic screening at age 5 to 6. Even if teeth look straight, jaw growth trends and eruption space can be assessed early. Early intervention needs family support. Help your child follow the doctor's instructions and wear the appliance for the required time each day, such as overnight wear plus daytime training. Consistency is key. Adolescence is a high-risk period for cavities. Before early intervention starts, the doctor checks baby and permanent teeth and completes basic fillings or sealants when needed. Whether using removable clear aligners or a myofunctional appliance, clean it with cold water every morning and evening. Do not boil or rinse with hot water, which may deform the appliance. During early intervention, the orthodontist creates a dedicated digital record for the mixed-dentition period and monitors retained baby teeth or eruption timing to help permanent teeth emerge properly. Please bring your child back for follow-up as instructed, usually every 4 to 6 weeks. The orthodontist adjusts force control based on the child's growth pattern.
